In which we remain pilgrims and do penance
Tadela was quiet last night when we went out for dinner at 8 pm. The first restaurant was empty so we excused ourselves and found an Italian with four people in it. By the time we were leaving at 10:30 it was full and people still arriving! Entertained by choir practice in neighbouring building.
Apartment turned out great and we left a bit later today after a cafe con leche

Quickly on a cycle path out of town.
Our penance was a stiff headwind all day. I would say Commodore Harty might have put a reef in the main.

Because it was so open and the roads so straight the wind took its toll.

Stopped for 10 o clock tea

Still on the Camino so through every town on the way and past a lot of churches

Note the stork nests on the roof

I cant believe any one would want to walk this Camino ( much less cycle it) it is in large parts on roads with no path and a big section today was on a very busy main road with no path. Saw three or four walkers and two cyclists coming the other way. They knew about the wind 🧐.

Spent an hour or so beside this motorway on some very “ rough stones” traffic lights were flashing amber for a while.

.

Eventually hit some blacktop and rolled into logrono. Primal tracking said it was a must see, for a while there today they were nearly removed from our preferred provider list 😉.
Eventually got into apartment after struggling with two electronic locks but can’t complain at £58 the night.
Planning for tomorrow will depend on weather and legs. Nearly 11 days on the trot now counting Girona 800 odd km and 8000m climbing . Two options, Pamplona or Vitoria Gastiez. 🧐not sure. I might consult the guru.
BOG = 0 still !
ASS = a solid 2 today
MDT 🚦 now settled to green but a fair bit of activity today in the amber zone along the motorway.
It’s supposed to be about the journey and not the destination but as days slip by it’s harder not to focus on the end. Especially as the legs start to complain.
