Rest day
I need to start by finishing yesterday .
Taking an “ unfolded “ bike on a train in Spain means you have to take a regional ( slow) train. There are only two of these a day 6:30 am and 5:40pm from Lleida to Zaragoza. So we went for something to eat and back to the station in good time. The train was 30 mins late departing and a further 30 mins late arriving. So a journey that takes 42 mins on a normal train took 3 hours 🧐.
Meanwhile the child of Prague had been taken in somewhere and when we arrived ( in the dark) it was lashing rain. Donned waterproofs and lit up the bikes. The station was entirely surrounded by massive road works and when we eventually escaped the station it was clear we were not on the Malone road of Zaragoza. Not a Bentley in sight when you needed one.
Then the route to the apartment took us deeper into a dodgier part of town. Then the touch screen on my phone stopped working in the rain and the route kept changing. Traffic lights 🚦 were flashing red !!
At last got into apartment….. 8 flights of stairs and looked very dodgy indeed. But infact apartment is really nice and eclectic.
Washing machine on ( yay!) and out to try and find dinner at 10:30. Went into a lovely Italian that was empty and about to close but they gave us a lovely meal with no issues. Uber back to flat !

Glad that day is over 😅
Today we did a nice walking tour of the town.

Home for a siesta and ready to pack for spin to Tudela tomorrow. Primal tracking have promised me a great route ! It’s certainly flat at 250 m and 98 km.
