Climb out of town to start then a massive descent to Sanauja on a delicious road. No traffic.

Out onto the same c road we started on but it became quite big and busy. stopped in Ponts for supplies and risked a gravel recommendation from Komoot to avoid the main road. 🧐 started off well enough.
It soon deteriorated, past several do not enter signs 😳 and then a big ford with fast flowing water. 🚦 flashing amber
However we survived and eventually came back out onto the main road where me made a friend , her son is apparently a famous cyclist although the details lost in translation
Then a grind to the top of a big climb on a big road but not busy.
Turning left off the main road at the top THE most amazing descent to Tremp. Absolutely brilliant. 2 cars in 20 km.
Stopped at a tiny town with no shops 😞 but wonderful views

In deep negotiations with Rowan re rest of route , it’s really difficult to travel west the high up in the mountains so we are looking at going south then west as a possibility.
