In which volcanoes and a celeb arrives on the island .
Left our delicious hotel in Haria after a delicious breakfast. Paid for the laundry after cashing in some bitcoin.
On leaving town quick stop to see the market.
Then up hill road and gravel mix . Small diversion to see a volcano.
Sunny on and off all day but our good friend the headwind never left us. Beautiful gravel and back roads all the way to Orzola port.
Hopped on a waiting ferry to Graciosa
On arrival , quick cafe con leche then checked into air bnb which was a trial to find even in the tiny town of caleto de Sebo. All the streets look the same and are like a strand.
Unpacked the bikes and headed up the coast a bit to the only other “settlement “ , the road is terrible washboard gravel but at least the sun was shining
Lay on the beach for a few hours ……👀
Now home and testing the local wine.
It was just as well we had left the island as In other breaking news my spy reports a sighting ( by the pool 😳)of triathlete Lesley Mulholland in playa Blanca. Shocked at this news I immediately contacted his assistant coach Hugh Suffern who assured me that the trip had indeed been approved by coach McAuley and that 16 hours of zone 3 work was on the cards over the next 4 days. Cahill will no doubt be delighted to join him.
Tomorrow we remain on the island for a little ( literally) explore before heading back Arecife on Monday 😞)
