Was again supposed to have been an easy day .Fail. 25 km turned into 60 🤪. On the upside met Cahill Mcgreevy who was billeted in playa Blanca.
The el golfo loop through the “closed road “ was beautiful and we revisited the black beach😍.
We then started to pick our way back to Playa Blanca trying to find as much gravel as we could . Eventually gave up as so much muck. Cahill knew a route however and was going well until we hit a single 30ft piece of mud. What made it worse was that it was the last 39 ft of gravel before we hit the road again. Bikes were destroyed, caked with thick clay. Messed around for over an hour trying to find a hose. Ended up at a garage using fresh drinking water dispenser . Got a puncture which miraculously cured itself when re inflated. Too late for lunch so left Cahill and headed back to Yaiza for Tapas. Just in time to watch a fashion shoot outside the bar.
Tomorrow we head for Haria for two days so back on gravel.
