In which John looks for exit game button , Alan gets some dog therapy , paddy decides to give up cycling , and Tim K raises his BP slightly. OH I forgot to mention the flash flood.
Rowan had forecast a monsoon but we set off in sun , passing through beautiful territory , lovely champagne gravel with just a tad of scrumpy to keep CLS in his place.

Nice coffee stop and straight into another climb , getting hotter , no sign of Rowan’s storm although some clouds on horizon.
Alan had close experience with 3 very large hungry looking dogs. 🐕. But survived.
On to lunch , more awesome scenery.

But Pure Mountain was saving the best to last.
At top of last climb the rain was circling us as CLS had deployed the sleeping Joseph.

We turned into a dry river bed for the last climb home. It started to rain a very little. I said to Tim K … imagine a wall of water coming down here now …how he laughed. “ hasn’t happy for years and years”. Just then…. a trickle of water appeared.

Then several minutes later we were cycling up stream

It was actually very easy to cycle up stream and apart from a brief separation of the A and B groups all was well and we headed to a roadside champagne ( not scrumpy ) reception.
Now in hotel awaiting wine tasting. Another great day with www.puremountains.com
Thanks to Tim , Jenny and Tatiana for a great trip.
