700 km /8000m complete. Still not half way.
The BandB in Lahinch came highly recommended, hosts Maura and Ronnie very pleasant and helpful, did a wash for us . The room was ok bar a shower which must have been the same age as me and had similar flow issues , initial hesitancy , poor stream and post shower dribbling. Impossible to shower in it. As this is a family blog I will defer the issues with the toilet.
Nice meal in “ Danny Mac’s” last night and a few beers. Early bed as usual.
Breakfast saw the usual pantomime when we declined the fry. Settled for porridge and Fried egg on toast.
It was lashing and blowing a gale when we left Lahinch ,can’t say I was sorry to leave it. Full wet gear at the start.

Sleeping Joseph obviously awoke but seems to have rolled over as two hours later the rain stopped and the sun came out. Still blowing a gale in our faces mind.
Scenery improved today as we went through the burren country.
Stopped first for coffee at an Irish design centre which seemed to have been designed to trap Americans into buying various tweed caps and knitted sheep after lulling them into a false sense of security with boats of crappucino (sic).
Beautiful strand at Fanone but too rough to swim

Onwards towards Galway , stopping for delicious chowder in Monks of Ballyvaughan , need to go back there.
Met a few Canadians along the road for the second time. They are doing a complete loop of Ireland.
