I had posted a #Formal last night to the group which was really only meant as clickbait ..However it drew no response so when this morming arrived it was fait accompli as far as Mr Mc was concerned. Other victims were Liz, Barry ,Doc L and Scullion who spent the whole day complaining he wasn’t up to it but nevertheless gave a great account of himself. Peter L wisely submitted a sick note .
The route. (a Mr Power pleasing 1000m + spin ),started up to second right , across the car park and trails to the top , over the style and out to Knockshee , felt like the “old days” . Dropped down to Kilfeaghan, wee bit of road then up Formal lane .The climb of formal is tough but gets tougher as you go on to the new “Rocky Road~” .We were dreading the descent to Fallow Corner as it is usually a bog at the best of times. Rowan however navigated a great dry route till about 100m from the river , then there were wet feet. Climb out of Fallow and home , ready for some O’Hares Cakes !
