Martin From the Rossi suggested a joint venture today and we got a nice window in the weather . A medley of decrepid looking Santas and varicose Hat decorations lightened the day ( slightly) . Prize for best bike decoration Mr Doyle and Best hat by a country mile Mr Power . Mr Stewart returned from a dalliance on the dark side , however I fear that he may never return . Mr kinbote flew in specially to make a star appearance . John and Kevin represented The Rossi.
The route was specifically chosen to be non challenging given the day that was in it . Dart(ish)up the switchbacks to the cairn , take a selfie to prove attendance , Run (ish) down the glen back to car park. On bikes , back to trails , Fallow , Northshore , another selfie to prove compliance . Straight down to second right and trails back to car park , mulled wine , mince pies , easy .
there was a short interlude (during which I contemplated early reunion with my maker) while Paul and Rusty arrived . apparently Paul had made a wrong turn and gone via Knockshee ;-).
A nice day out and has the makings of a good race route . with possibility of lenghthening run and or cycle easily. ? Kilbroney Challenge 2016?
We also raised £110 for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust , so WELL DONE ALL.
