Headwind wins … going north. 8am Port del Rosario , had planned early departure but its LASHING RAIN ☔️! 70 km planned to take us to the west coast, along the famous cliffs and back up to Corralejo hopefully with a tailwind. A lot of the surfaces will not be pleasant...

In El Cotillo. Nice beachside town. Air BnB ok. Note the lack of Bentleys out side. After yesterday’s exertions and a morbidity and mortality meeting we decided not to fight the wind . So instead of heading straight into it again we are going east to Port del Rosario....

Yaiza to el cotillo ( Fuerteventura) via playa blanca Stayed at hotel La Casona de Yaiza. Excellent and reasonably priced but not a Bentley in sight. Brilliant restaurant. Had planned a loop west today but komoot reports road closed due to subsidence. Forecast is dry...

Famara to Yaiza Air BnB was tricky to find but got there eventually. It was compact but well equipped however very pricy at 180£ for the night and came with a very particular odour. Might just have been damp after all the rain but I suspect a blocked sewer somewhere....
